Kiln Logs Express – Log Delivery Service
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all orders and deliveries of logs in wheelie bins provided by Kiln Logs Express (“we”, “us”, “our”) to our customers (“you”, “your”). By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Provided
1.1 We supply and deliver firewood logs in wheelie bins to domestic and commercial customers within our delivery area.
1.2 Logs are delivered in wheelie bins for convenience. The wheelie bins remain our property at all times and is only on a rental agreement unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Orders & Payment
2.1 Orders can be placed online, by phone, or by email.
2.2 Full payment must be made at the time of ordering unless otherwise agreed.
2.3 Prices include delivery within our stated delivery area. Any additional delivery charges will be made clear before confirming your order.
3. Delivery
3.1 Deliveries will be made to the address provided by you at the time of order.
3.2 You must ensure there is suitable access for delivery (driveway, pathway, or kerbside drop-off). We cannot accept liability for delays or non-delivery caused by access restrictions.
3.3 Delivery dates/times are estimates. We will always aim to deliver on time but accept no liability for delays caused by circumstances outside our control.
4. Wheelie Bin Use
4.1 Wheelie bins remain the property of Kiln Logs Express and are supplied only for the purpose of storing and delivering firewood.
4.2 You are responsible for keeping the bins safe and in reasonable condition while they are at your property.
4.3 Bins must not be used for waste, liquids, or materials other than the firewood we provide.
4.4 If a bin is damaged, lost, or misused while in your possession, you may be charged a replacement fee and will not receive your deposit back.
5. Collection & Refills
5.1 Empty bins will be collected at the time of refill or by prior arrangement.
5.2 You must ensure bins are accessible for collection/refill. If bins cannot be accessed, we may charge for a failed collection/delivery.
6. Firewood
6.1 Our logs are supplied as kiln-dried firewood, suitable for use in wood-burning stoves, open fires, or other appropriate appliances.
6.2 It is your responsibility to ensure your appliance is suitable and maintained for safe burning.
6.3 We do not accept liability for damage caused by improper use of firewood, appliances, or chimneys.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
7.1 Orders cancelled more than 48 hours before delivery will receive a full refund.
7.2 Orders cancelled within 48 hours of delivery may be subject to a cancellation fee.
7.3 If you are dissatisfied with your firewood, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery. We will review complaints on a case-by-case basis.
8. Liability
8.1 We are not liable for delays or failure to deliver caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g. severe weather, road closures, supplier shortages).
8.2 We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our products or services.
9. Health & Safety
9.1 Firewood must be handled safely. Logs may contain splinters, insects, or natural debris. Gloves are recommended when handling.
9.2 You are responsible for safe storage of firewood once delivered.
9.3 Burning wood produces smoke and emissions; always ensure correct ventilation and compliance with local smoke control regulations.
10. Changes to Terms
10.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website or upon request.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
